Creating an Automated Message to notify your customer

It's easy to let your customer know when a Job/Sales Order has moved to a status, such as "Ready to Dispatch"

1. Click here.

2. Click "Prebuilds"

3. Click "Jobs"

4. Edit a pre-build

5. Click "Automated Messages"

6. Click "New Automated Message"

7. Click "Blank"

8. Give the message a name (for internal use only)

9. Make sure the message is "Active"

10. Change the trigger to "Status Changed Date"

11. Click the status you want the email triggered on

12. Set any exclusions or inclusions using tags and the business type

13. Enter {ClientContactEmail} in the "To" field

14. Put in the sender's email address. This can be the user's {ContactEmail}, or you can enter a known one, such as [email protected]

15. Populate the subject field, including variables, to make it more informative

16. Populate the email text, adding variables to make it more readable. Click on the "Search Variables" to find out what is available

17. Check the appearance of the email

18. If a variable is not recognized, it will be displayed with the {} brackets

19. Click "ร—"

20. Click "ร—"

21. To push the message to other pre-builds, click "Copy to Other Pre-Builds"
