Updating Inventory on Shopify

How Zigaflow can keep your Shopify Inventory Figures up to date

Updated this week

Zigaflow can automatically sync the latest inventory figures to your Shopify store(s).

In the Cog -> Integrations -> Shopify -> Settings, make sure this is ticked and you have selected the frequency.

When an item is sold on Shopify, it will be automatically deducted from stock on that platform. When it is allocated in Zigaflow, the free stock is reduced, and the stock is booked out when the delivery note is completed.

You can set up an automation in Zigaflow so that when an order arrives from Shopify, it allocates the stock in Zigaflow. In theory, you should only need to update Shopify because you have made sales directly in Zigaflow and not in Shopify.

Shared SKUs/Item Codes

If you have one item listed multiple times on your Shopify site(s), for example:

Item code: Wiper-1001

Description: Ford Puma Wiper

Item code: Wiper-1001

Description: Ford Galaxy Wiper

They are the same SKU but with different descriptions to enable better categorization and searching on Shopify.

Zigaflow will update both entries to match the single SKU inventory quantity in Zigaflow.
